An investor needs a loan of £7 million to purchase the shares of a limited company which owns a number of buy to let properties. The loan would facilitate the change of ownership of the company from the current owners to the proposed borrower. The investor is putting in £2 million of their own funds to enable the share purchase and to cover the difference between the mortgages being requested and the value of the properties.
Their broker approaches one of our specialist finance account managers to find out if we can help. Despite the exceptional nature of the request, we’re able to lean on our years of industry experience and specialist lending know-how to craft a bespoke lending solution. On completion, the ownership of the limited company is transferred to the borrower and the assets of the company form the security for the loan.
